Is it possible to walk from Martigny to Great St Bernard Pass in late May, or is there still too much snow?

As others will tell you ... it may be possible , and may not !!

I crossed it on the 18th May 2016, the road was still snowed up , although they had just started plowing it on both sides ...
I managed to walk up to the Hospice ... and was then snowed in for a day , before walking down into Italy the following day ....

Thanks Jotown, for the information. We plan to be there 31 May, so possibly we will be fine.

I passed sept 21, 18 and had to stay at the hotel dorm space, on the top)for 2 days-snow and ice. It was fun, good group of hikers -no rush.
