I'm a Canadian interested in walking a section of the VF in spring or fall 2018. I'd like to talk to other potential pilgrims who might be walking at that time to find out if we can walk together. Looking forward to talking to you!

Hi Nancy! I noticed no-one has answered yet so ....
I can only walk in the Summer so can't be much help.
But you know, I think it is better to start off on your own? I find it very difficult (maybe it is just me) to walk with someone else...
You don't say which sections you plan to walk. In France, there was no-one! In Italy, there were quite a few other pilgrims even when I walked in the heat of the Summer.
I don't know about Switzerland, not walked that part.

Thank you. I've actually had two people reply directly, and I've talked to two others. It may come together for 2018, but if not, then I wait. I know a lot of people walk alone, but that's not for me. I hope your caminos were wonderful!

Hi Nancy, I'm interested in seeing if our timing would line up. I'll be walking from Asota at the end of May. Let me know your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    Joan

Hi Joan - It looks as if I'll be walking further down the road, starting at Lucca, and starting in early May. But thanks for checking in. Buon cammino!

Domigee, you posted that you had one guidebook for the Via Francigena and were going to try the other one. One is Terre di Mezzo I think and the other is the Chin one. I walked the Camino two years ago with the Brierley guide and it was super helpful. Can you tell me which guide you preferred? I am walking a potion from Pontremoli to Radicafoni. Thanks somuch.
