We are planning to fly from the USA to Milan in September 2020, and would like any advice as to how to get from the Milan airport to the GSB pass. Is this possible?

when I was going from slovenia to aosta this june on flixbus, we passed one of milano's airports (I don't remember which one) then made a detour via torino to aosta.

there are savda buses from milano to aosta which probably run on a daily basis. see here: http://www.savda.it/it/35/valle-d-aosta-milano/.

from aosta up to the pass there are seasonal savda buses running depending on the snow cover. same link as above.
swiss postauto buses also cross the pass, although I'm still not sure how they work with the italian buses: https://www.postauto.ch/en.
I've seen italian buses go up and down the swiss side (been on one of them to orsiere through the tunnel), but no yellow swiss buses in italy.

check this thread on the original forum: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/gsb-a-guide-to-crossing-the-great-st-bernard-pass.59812/

I flew to Milan also, late arrival so I stayed in Milan. Took Milan Aosta train in the morning, then bus to SBP. The bus from Aosta is twice daily, 11am and 2:00 pm.
