Hi fellow pilgrims! After an amazing walk from O Cebreiro to Santiago de Compostela this Spring, my sister-in-law and I are looking into the Roman Way pilgrimage next year, starting in Assisi. I have read helpful posts in this forum about how to get a credential, etc. What a great resource!

Can anyone please clarify for me, is it necessary to walk a certain distance sequentially in order to earn the testimonium in Rome? I am getting unclear information from various websites and tour organizers. One said as long as you walk a total of over 100 km, it doesn't matter if you skip a few of the hardest or less interesting stages. True?

We would like to pre-arrange accommodations at small inns, with luggage transfers. Can anyone recommend a travel company or expert to help us put our plan together? Thanks very much, Mille Grazie!
